People at Starbucks call me Bonnie or Connie, which is okay. Calling out Honey would’ve been awkward, I get it.

Social media is inundated with fashion bloggers and influencers (I’m obsessed with them), but they mostly work with the retail side. I want to show you life behind the scenes. My blog seeks to tell you what it takes for fast fashion to feed our hungry closets and to shift our consumer mindsets into considering why less might really be more.

I work in Corporate Fashion.

I am a Fashion Design graduate sharing my journey in the fast fashion industry of Southern California. This blog shares my life and journey in the corporate side of fashion, tell you why I love my job but despise the industry, and seek to find how we as individuals can change the industry to do better.

I’ll rant, I’ll overshare, and I’ll definitely swear once in a while. This isn’t an instruction manual on how to succeed in Fashion. We are going on a ride.

Still, I want you to learn something on the way: If you want to work in Fashion, you can survive and thrive. Just know that my experience will not necessarily be yours, but if it does become yours, you won’t be as surprised as I was when it happened to me.

Honestly? It was a very old chat screenname/username that just stuck. I’m also that one family member that’s always doing something wrong and getting herself into trouble. It seemed appropriate. I’ll be honest, not much has changed.
