It’s not a new experience that the years start to pass by quicker and quicker the older you get. I remember hearing my aunts and uncles say the same thing year after year when I was younger and thought they were crazy. In my eyes, the years passed by so slowly until the next school holiday.
It’s definitely not that way anymore. While I’ve made the same complaint before, this year it really hit me hard. I remember taking a photo for my 2018-2019 NYE Instagram post, feeling like it was only a couple of months ago.
Holy shit.

Halloween
Sadly, I didn’t do anything this Halloween. It has gotten to be less of a thing as the years went on, friends started to have families that involved a different type of Halloween celebration, and we all just got too lazy to deal with LA clubs.
Most people also grew out of dressing slutty. I, however, have not. 🤷🏻♀️
I was able to go to a house party, which was fun. Everyone was super happy, more than a little drinky, and we danced and had fun all night. Unfortunately, I didn’t prepare for it, so all I had to wear was a sexy mad hatter costume that I no longer fit so well in. It looked sexier than intended because I gained weight, so the boobs and the booty were bigger than before.
I still would like to do some fun Halloween stuff. I’m actually gonna put it in my calendar to plan earlier for next year so that I’m able to celebrate somehow. I love Halloween.

Thanksgiving
These days, it’s not as easy to take a full day out to be with my family. I used to only have cats, who can pretty much eat and potty while I’m gone without needing me around. Now that I have dogs, I don’t want to be gone too long, leaving them to hold it in until I get back.
In the future, I’d possibly want to set up a doggy door in an enclosed outdoor potty area. The dogs are potty trained, but only two took to using a pee pad. The other two strictly go outdoors.
In any case, we had dinner at my family’s place with just the 6 of us, plus 2 of my dogs. My aunt made Filipino spaghetti and my mom made her macaroni salad, both of which I love. I ate mostly those two items and largely ignored the turkey and the ham.
My dad honestly didn’t even want a turkey this year. We often have too many leftovers of the white meat, on top of the other leftovers. Still, my mom brought a turkey home because they get it free from work.

Christmas / Yule
So far, the plan this year is to have Christmas at our place. This isn’t common as we do have a ton of animals and my mom is scared of all pets.
We’ll see how this goes. We’ve only done one Thanksgiving here at my place and it went over okay. However, the last time we hung out at my place, two dogs got into a bad fight over… my dad’s belly rubs. Ugh. Un-both-lievable! It scared all of us, though no one was hurt.
This year, Chris will be here to help wrangle the dogs. We are also taking precautions to prevent jealousy and fighting.

2019-2020 NYE
New Year’s Eve always has one of those connotations attached to it of being a party night. It’s been one of the only party nights I’ve yet to experience. I’ve always celebrated NYE with my family and it just feels weird not to.
More than likely, it’s going to just be dinner, hanging out, and watching all the countdown shows. It’s always fun. It’s just nice hanging out with them.
Basically, that’s gonna be it until the end of the year and we start all over again!

16/01/2020 at 06:43Oh my, it was definitely a scary moment and I never thought I would panic over the belly rub fiasco. I have one dog that hates one of his brothers for no reason! Only recently did that second dog start fighting back and it scares me! I wish they fought over it more cutely!
On the other hand, it made my dad feel VERY special. 🙂
