I don’t consider myself a true Marvel fan, and most wouldn’t either but I do enjoy the MCU a lot. I have watched every movie and TV Show linked to the universe. I also plan to watch the upcoming ones slated to come out.
I point this out because even though this is fan art, this is purely based on what I was hoping for after seeing the 3rd episode. I have no knowledge of Moon Knight in the comics and don’t know the history at all. This is just me, enjoying the character, and wanting to push my own little fantasy for the character.
I love Layla. She’s quirky, sometimes so flippant in the face of danger, and so casual about accepting that her husband has DID. The character plays a range of emotions, adapts easily to change, and has such a tender spot in her heart for Marc/Steven even if she shows different sides herself to each personality.
Being that most artwork I’ve seen for Moon Knight so far has been on the monochromatic style, I wanted to challenge myself to this limitation since I usually work with a full range of color.
It’s been hard getting inspiration lately and the MCU has been so present that it was such an easy place for me to start. I’m already working on two more MCU related artwork and I hope that I end up posting them.
This was made on Procreate, using a 2018 iPad and Gen 1 Apple Pencil, with stock brushes and some purchased from Bluesssatan.
